Jace's Quad Crash

I'm still inexperienced with the camcorder, so sorry I talk too much during the video! Notice Jace's dismount move at the end, it cracks me up every time.

Little Quads

We had a couple of really beautiful days this last weekend...we are loving that it isn't winter anymore! So Chris was outside, and decided to let the kids ride their little quad. Dallon took off on it by himself, and I about died! I thought for sure he was going to ride right down the drive/lawn and into the busy street right in front of a car! But he actually seemed to know what he was doing, and I chilled out a little. By the time I got the camera out, Jace was taking a turn (but he can't really reach the gas yet, at least that what I thought until Chris showed him how). I got some good video of it, I'll see if I can get it on the blog.

With Jace on our quad, Dallon tried to fight the neighbors for theirs! It wasn't pretty. I took a turn riding around with Jace. I'm sure I exceed the weight limit.

Jace's Bday and Easter

Sorry I haven't posted these, but things have been a little crazy and the last time I posted I was unable to upload pictures because blogger was having some problems. So here's some highlights:
The day we had Dallon's Bake Sale was the day before Easter and also Jace's bday. He got to meet the Easter Bunny at Walmart.
Later on that afternoon, we invited some friends over and had a little birthday party for Jace. Chris' parents were there for the weekend and picked up an ice cream cake for Jace. He had a great time blowing out his candles....
and Dallon enjoyed taking a turn or two also! I think we relit the candles at least a couple dozen times!
Jace got creative in his candle blowing. Pretty soon there was a nice spray coming from him.
We opened some presents (Dallon also helped out with that--who can resist) and he got a lot of really nice gifts. Thanks everyone!

Seems like forever

I can't believe how long its been since I've posted! I've been a little busy. I am happy to report that all is pretty well here, and we are making some great progress in a lot of ways.

First, we are finally fixing up the landscaping issues we have with this house. No more weird rock beds and bricks in random places. No more messy or wasp filled trees, and more grass! we will also be getting rid of about 500 sq ft of red and white rock, and hopefully we'll be able to lay some sod down instead.

Second, Dallon has made AMAZING progress over the last couple of months. His speech is coming along very nicely, and he seems much more aware of what is going on around him. He points out birds and animals everywhere. He also associates things he sees with things at home and tries to tell me about them. Its kind of like trying to figure out a riddle. You have a couple of clues, and it doesn't make much sense at first, but once you figure it out it makes perfect sense. He has a full month of school in April--no breaks for teacher training, or little holidays, or anything else--so he has been falling into a much better pattern and seems to be happier to go to school most days. We had his 6 month review last week, and his teachers were thrilled about his great progress.

Third, I finally found a doctor who could treat all of my weird symptoms. I am hoping that with all of the treatments she has me on, I'll finally be feeling like myself again! (although I'm not sure if I can really remember what that felt like)

Fourth, we are making some more progress with Dallon's fundraising. We will be applying for some grants, and hopefully be awarded a couple of them. We are also trying to organize a few more bake sales, and the young women at church are organizing a dinner/auction. Its a lot to do, but it will be so worth it.

I'll try to pick up my posting again. Sorry about the delay! Hope you are all doing very well, and we love you guys!
