It must be spring...

....because I'm seeing more birds!
Today this Lazuli Bunting kept trying to fly throught my kitchen window. His mate was a lot smarter--she sat in the tree and watched him go for it...I think I can relate.

I've also seen pine siskens, and yesterday I watched a rufous-sided towhee rummage around under our trees for a couple of hours. We also saw a long-billed curlew, and I'm expecting to see more and more songbirds as the weather warms...I'm so excited (I'm also such a nerd).

Out like a lion...

So March has come and gone so fast, and I've taken lots of pictures, but I've neglected to share them like I should. So here is a big long post for you to catch up a bit. I bought St. Patrick's Day shirts for the boys, and Conner cried every time I tried to sit him up so you could see what his said. Since you can't see it, it said, "Mommy thinks I'm charming."

Conner and his plane. He got it for Christmas from G&G Christensen. He loves this thing, and is now using it to stand up, and climbs all over it.

Gotta love that tongue...he can't seem to keep it in his mouth.

Miss Bianca loving the sunlight coming through the windows. It has been wonderfully warm, and the sun has been out most days. I love that!

Last weekend we met up with my brother Colton and his family, and my sister Kaylee and her husband Nick in Boise. We ate great food, stayed in a hotel for 2 nights, swam in the pool, did mini golf, go-karts, bumper boats, and shopped at the mall. After they headed back to Pocatello, we headed to the zoo to use our membership (it was great to have free admission! Thanks Grandma Sally and Grandpa Charlie!).

Here's where that out like a lion pun comes in. They have an African Safari exhibit with lions and giraffes.

That is one cool looking pheasant.

Jace giving us the grumpy face. He was generally grumpy most of the time, but he perked up when appropriate.

"Why are you taking my picture, Dad?"
Digging for fossils.

Trying not to like it too much.

Look at that kid in the prairie dog exhibit!

Big cat!

New this time was a bit of a petting zoo. Goats and sheep with brand new babies--it opened the day before we were there.

When I told them this was a dragon, Dallon said it should have wings--um, yeah most imaginary dragons do have wings, but not real ones.

Jace riding the Dallon tortoise.

Jace tortoise.

Cool dragon trainers.

This one looks like Dallon got bucked off, so I had to post it.

2 headed meerkat alert!

Riding a camel.

Just hatched.

Well, April will be here in a couple of days, spring break is over, and Easter is in just a few days. The countdown to summer has begun--now if only I can figure out how I will be able to survive it!

Happy Birthday Jace!

Jace is 4-years-old! We had a party for him on Saturday while Grandma Sally and Grandpa Charlie were visiting. His party had a train theme (Thomas the Train) and I'm pretty sure he loved it! He especially loved all of the gifts and being the center of attention :)

(Dallon may have had just as much fun "helping" Jace have a birthday.)

A little stroll down memory lane. Jace on his 3rd birthday. Attached to his cowboy hat, and into all things boy--dirt, animals, and big machines.

Jace at 2-years-old. This is right after I bought him that cowboy hat. I think he wore it every day (even slept in it) for over a year. Gotta love it. He was so cute and chubby.

Jace's 1st birthday. Loving that first taste of his cake. He has always been very funny, even as an infant. As a toddler he learned to use his facial expressions to get a rise out of people--and boy was he good at it!

What a cute baby he was. I took these when he was about 2 weeks old.

Just got home from the hospital. He had more hair than his brothers and a rosier complexion. He definitely has his own look (Dallon and Conner look so much alike to me).

Brand new baby Jace! Thankfully they were able to wake me up from a deep sleep so I didn't miss it!

Agent Arvidson

We went to the Dollar Store, and Dallon had to have the "FBI Agent" set. It came complete with dark shades and a cell phone. He had a great time capturing his "suspect," cuffing him and interrogating him in the hot seat. He called it in, and soon got the OK from headquarters that he could release Jace (although I think Jace was a little sad about it--I think he'll be a repeat offender). They both played their rolls very convincingly, Jace even put on a sad face when I took the pictures. Too funny.
